Target audiences
Our services are tailored for high schools, colleges and universities, community education programs, and nonprofit organizations who serve diverse student populations, including first-generation college students, military/veteran students, international students, and continuing-generation students. Our goal is to deliver accessible, culturally responsive, and impactful presentations that empower families and students throughout the higher education journey.
A Unique Approach
Our work shines a light on the experiences of parents/guardians of first-generation college students and the students before and after matriculation into higher education. Our research-driven approach uncovers the challenges families face when cultural values meet institutional norms and new ideas, while emphasizing the resilience and strengths families hold. By applying evidence-based research, we help strengthen connections and empower families and students for success. These presentations also provide an opportunity for institutions and organizations to learn about first-generation family dynamics.
